Gamesa to Supply Wind Turbines Totalling 80 MW to two Aldesa wind farms in Spain

  • The projects will consist of 25 Gamesa G97-2.0 MW turbines and 15 Gamesa G90-2.0MW turbines

Gamesa, a global leader in wind turbine design, manufacturing and maintenance, has reached an agreement with builder Aldesa to supply 80 MW of wind turbine capacity to two wind farms, La Tella and Palomarejo, which the construction company will develop in the Spanish communities of Jumilla (Murcia) and Écija (Seville).

La Tella wind farm (50 MW) will be equipped with 25 Gamesa G97-2.0 MW turbines, while Palomarejo (30 MW) will be powered by 15 Gamesa G90-2.0 MW turbines. The company expects to deliver the turbines for both projects in the fourth quarter of 2011.

In addition to supplying turbines, Gamesa will perform assembly and start-up activities at both sites. Gamesa will also provide operation and maintenance services for a period of five years.
